Raystown Lake is a vital recreational resource for our community, offering opportunities for boating, fishing, and other water-based activities. Ensuring the safety of boaters and visitors, especially during inclement weather and night hours, is a significant concern. Since 2002, the Friends of Raystown Lake have been responsible for the red, green, and white navigation lights on the shoreline of Raystown Lake. As you can imagine, this is an expensive, time consuming endeavor. To assist with this, we are currently seeking sponsors for the installation and maintenance of new navigation lights.
Almost all of the lights currently on the lake do not work and need to be replaced. The funds raised through sponsorship will be used to cover the costs associated with the purchase, installation, and maintenance of new navigation lights strategically placed around Raystown Lake. These lights will not only improve visibility for boaters navigating the waters at night but also contribute to the overall safety and security of the lake environment. By sponsoring a navigation light on Raystown Lake, you can play a crucial role in enhancing safety measures and promoting responsible recreational practices on the water.
