The Friends of Raystown Lake operates and maintains Putt's Camp, a primitive, waterfront group tenting area north of mile marker 26 at Raystown Lake.
Putt's Camp is open to all 501 (c)(3) non-profit organizations for reservation
Putt's Camp covers 26 acres of open fields, wooded areas and shoreline, with 300 yards of premier waterfront access. We have eight campsites available: five wooded, two field and one waterfront. The camp features a spacious picnic shelter with a hand-built fireplace that can easily accommodate large groups, an all-faith chapel, water-pumps and vault toilets, and two newly constructed Adirondack shelters.
Putt’s is bordered by Rothrock State Forest and can also be accessed by foot on the Terrace Mountain Trail. Enjoy hiking, fishing, swimming, paddling, and more! Feeling adventurous? Putt's Camp is open year-round, so why not try winter camping!
In 2022, FRL installed a solar electric system donated by Energy Transfer and concreted the floor of the pavilion at a cost of $30,000. Consider donating to help offset the cost of this project.
Thank you!
